Studies at Marie Curie-Skłodowska Universitete finished in 1984. Diploma under the direction of prof. Kołwzan-Nowicka. Acted in artistic groups "Hut" and "Alliance nihilistic orgiastic". This second was formed with artists like Jerzy Truszkowski and late Janusz Rasiński. Both groups played a significant role in lublin's art life of '80. Painting of Puchacz is metaphysical journey through the landscapes of Lubelszczyzna, it's also anxiety about the spiritual condition of modern man. In figurative paintings figures are forced putted into abstract space. A multitude of small parts, penetrating each other and raftsmanship is undeniable qualities of Ireneusz Puchacz painting.
