Leszek Żegalski

Born in 1959 in Cieszyn Silesia. He began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where he was a pupil of Jerzy Duda-Gracz. In 1982, he moved to the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where he received his degree in 1984. Together with Janusz Szpyt and Piotr Naliwajko formed the "Group of Three", called "Trio pompous". In 1988 he received the Grand Prix National Exhibition of Young Artists "Arsenal 88". In the same year, leaving the country to Germany, where he stays for next year. This period was filled with intense creative work and exhibition. Since 1990 he has been a member of the Union of Artists Realists - "Kunstlersonderbund in Deutschland. Realismus der Gegenwart" - an organization figurative painters of an elite. Since 2009 he is a member of Apelles group. He now lives in Belgium and Poland. He paints - easel, bulkheads, fresco.
