Andrzej Tomaszewski

Born 8th of March 1945 in Znin. Art studies 1967 - 1972 in State High School of Art in Poznań in prof. Stanisław Tesserye workshop. Most of his works stays in private collections in Poland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and USA. In 1977-1996 his artworks was presented on indyvidual and collective exhibitions in Poland, Germany, France, Sweeden and Austria. "Everyday life, travels, music, poetry, talk with emotions - build me and my painitngs. Inspire me to process with imagination situations that were met, forming different world of associations and values" - says about his paiting.

...he examine effects that are result of collision expectations with reality, affectation with naturality, sugesting that it has to be a more effort to "real" painting harmonize with "felt" paiting, but area of emotions, belong to this which is instinctively taken, is fully his own... At author's works there is no human figure... but we feel interaction of specific emotional tensions to surroundings - effect of human activity
